Acceptance of these terms and changes to them
These terms and conditions form the agreement between you and This Is Vegas Casino. They apply whenever you register, log in, deposit, place a stake or take part in a promotion on this site. By opening an account you confirm that you have read them, that you understand them, and that you agree to be bound by them.
We may update these terms from time to time - for example when a feature changes, when a payment method is added or withdrawn, or when a change in law or in the conditions of our gaming licence requires it. The version published on this page is always the version that applies to your account.
Where a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect, normally by e-mail or by a message in your account. If you do not accept the change, you may ask to withdraw any remaining balance, subject to the checks set out below, and close your account.
Eligibility and your account
Who may open an account
Gambling on this site is for adults only. You may register an account if all of the following are true:
- You are 18 or over. Underage gambling is an offence, and we close any account we find to be held by a person under 18.
- You are resident in the United Kingdom and are using the site from a place where it is lawful for you to do so.
- You are not currently self-excluded with us, and you are not registered with GamStop.
- You are acting for yourself, on your own behalf, and not for anyone else.
- You have not previously had an account closed by us for a breach of these terms.
One account per person
Each person may hold one account. Where we find duplicate accounts held by the same person or operated from the same household, device or payment method, we may close the additional accounts, withdraw any bonus benefit taken more than once, and return any remaining deposit balance.
Keeping your details accurate
The name, date of birth, address and contact details you give us must be your own and must be correct. Please keep them up to date in your account, as we rely on them for verification, for payments and for anything we need to send you. An account registered with details that cannot be confirmed may be suspended until the position is clear.
Keeping your login safe
Your username and password are personal to you. You are responsible for activity carried out on your account while logged in, so please do not share your details, and do not let anyone else use your account. If you think someone else has access to it, change your password and tell us straight away so we can secure the account.
Verification of your account
We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm the identity and age of every customer. Verification is a normal part of holding an account with us and is not a sign that anything is wrong.
We will ask you to complete identity, age and address checks before your first withdrawal is paid, and we may ask again later if your details change or if a payment method is added. Typical documents include:
- Photographic proof of identity in your own name.
- Proof of the address registered on your account.
- Proof that the payment method used belongs to you.
- Where required, information about the source of the funds you are gambling with.
Checks are carried out as quickly as the documents allow. Play may be restricted and withdrawals held while they are outstanding. Where we cannot verify an account, we may close it and return the balance, less any amount we are obliged to withhold, to a verified method in your own name.
Deposits, withdrawals and bonuses
Deposits
You may only deposit from a payment method held in your own name. Funds appear in your balance once the provider authorises the payment. The methods open to you, and the minimum and maximum amounts, are the ones shown in the cashier at the time. Money held in your account is for play; it earns no interest and your account is not a bank or savings account.
Withdrawals
Where the method allows it, we return money to the same method you deposited with, and in the order those deposits were made. If that is not possible - for example where a card has expired - we will ask you for an alternative method in your own name. Pending requests can usually be returned to your balance from the cashier, but once a payment has been sent it cannot be recalled.
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
| Request | You confirm the amount in the cashier and it leaves your playable balance. |
| Checks | If documents are outstanding, we ask for them and the request waits until they are accepted. |
| Approval | The request is approved and sent to your payment provider. |
| Receipt | The time the money takes to arrive depends on the provider and is outside our control. |
Bonuses and promotions
Every offer carries its own terms, which are published with the offer and which you accept when you claim it. Those terms commonly set out:
- A wagering requirement that must be met before bonus funds or winnings from them can be withdrawn.
- A maximum stake per spin or hand while a wagering requirement is active.
- Which games count towards wagering, and by how much.
- An expiry period, after which the bonus and anything left of it are removed.
- Any cap on the amount that can be converted into withdrawable cash.
We may cancel a bonus, and any winnings arising from it, where an account is used in a way an offer was not intended for - for example duplicate accounts, play designed only to clear a requirement with little real risk, or stakes placed above the stated maximum. Deposits made in good faith remain yours.
Safer gambling, and closing or suspending an account
Gambling should stay affordable and enjoyable. Your account includes tools to help you keep control: deposit and loss limits, session reminders, short time-outs, and self-exclusion for a longer fixed period. Limits that reduce your exposure take effect straight away; increases take longer, by design. You can set any of these in your account, or ask our team to apply them.
Free, independent support is available from GamCare, GambleAware and the National Gambling Helpline, and you can block yourself from all licensed online gambling in Great Britain through GamStop. We cannot reverse a self-exclusion before it expires, and we will not knowingly allow a self-excluded person to open a new account.
When an account is closed or suspended
- At your request, at any time, by message to our team or in your account settings.
- Where you self-exclude, for the full length of the exclusion.
- Where an account stays dormant for a long period with no log-in or transaction; we will contact you before treating it as dormant.
- Where verification cannot be completed, or the details given prove to be inaccurate.
- Where these terms are breached, or where we are required to act by law or by the conditions of our licence.
Closing an account does not affect your right to be paid a balance that is properly yours. We will return it to a verified method in your own name once any outstanding checks are complete.
Complaints, liability and governing law
If something goes wrong
Please raise the matter with us first, either through live chat or by writing to support@casinothisisvegas.co.uk. Tell us your username, what happened and when, and include anything that helps us look into it, such as a transaction reference. We acknowledge complaints promptly and give you a considered answer within a reasonable time.
If our answer does not settle the matter, you may refer the complaint to an independent dispute resolution service at no cost to you. We will tell you how to do so when we give you our final response, and we will co-operate with the process.
Our liability to you
Games are played at your own risk, and stakes placed are not refundable simply because a result goes against you. If a game, a payment or the site malfunctions, any affected transaction is void and we will correct balances and refund stakes as appropriate. We are not responsible for failures of your own device or internet connection, or for delays caused by a payment provider. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your account, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
